Ég hef bögglað saman upplýsingum og reyni að koma þessu eins skýrt út og ég get. Allar upplýsingar sem ég fann eru á ensku þannig að ég mun skrifa greinina á ensku.

PCI-Express is an advanced verson of PCI. It oporates at a low 0.8V, runs at 2.5ghz, offers large bandwidth up to 16gb/s and incorparated less pin number to take up less space. Teamed with serial ATA, PCI-Express took care of PCI's data transfer limitaion. PCI-Express consist of two versons, X16 and X1.
PCI-Epress X16 is four times faster than APG 8 and PCI-Express 1X is four times than PCI.
PCI-X stands for Periphareral Componment Interconnect Extended and is mostly used on Servers and workstations. PCI and PCI-X slots are physically the same. PCI cards run in PCI-X slots, and PCI-X runs in PCI slot at slower PCI rates. It supports 266Mhz and 533Mhz bus and 4.3GB/s bandwidth.
