“How was Kiefer's New Year's Eve. He says he celebrated in Iceland. My ears perked. I predict Iceland will become the hot new place for the happening crowd to invade. The buzz about Iceland is starting to build and just the other week there was a big article in the New York Times about it. I particularly enjoy the Iceland Water, but that's a plug for another day. Dave read the same Times article and says how it is becoming known as the place to go for parties. The nightlife is wild, especially this time of year since the nights last up to 20 hours. The population is 240,000; 175,000 of which live in Reykjavik, the capital. And according to Kiefer, they put on the best fireworks displays. Why? Because there is no government regulations prohibiting the use. Are you listening, politicians? Leave us alone and we can attain great things. On New Year's Eve alone, Iceland spent $15 million on fireworks. My favorite firework? The little black pellet that turns into a snake of ash when you light it.”
