”New Servers Available For Red Alert 2!
There are now two new servers that have been activated to help give you both an easier time in WOL chat and to allow you to match with people closer to your location. The new servers are named Pacific and European. These new servers should give you better internet performance with less lag. For those that have the English version you will be automatically put into the USA server. For those with French and German language versions, you will be automatically placed into the European Server. For those of you using the Korean or Chinese versions, you will be placed into the Pacific server.

If you find that you wish to be on a different server that is closer to your actual location, you can change this under the My Information menu. Just select the server that you wish to automatically join from the pull down option called Preferred Server.

Please note, those people on your Buddy List will only show “Online” if they are online on the same server you are playing on. If you wish to play a Buddy, you will have to both be on the same server.

Currently Quick Match will still match all people no matter what their Preferred Server preference. This will however be changed in the upcoming patch next week so that you will be Quick Matched to people only on your Preferred Server. This will help you to be matched with people that are connected closer to you and give you a better connection with less lag."
