Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance is a series of 10 shorts, 5 minutes in length, released on the world wide web through the SciFi channel's website. The series takes place between the end of season 2 (also known as 2.5) and season 3 (also known as 3.0) of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica.
The series is a promotional event to promote Battlestar Galactica, and as such produces no residuals to writers. This has provoked the wrath of the Writers' Guild. The WGA has called for the boycott of all un-residualed webisodes by writers and producers (the WGA does not represent producers, and this is an unusual request) from working on them.

The series documents the events on New Caprica after the invasion by Cylons at the end of the second season. It shows the activities of the resistance to Cylon occupation, and collaborators for the Cylons. The resistance is headed by Colonel Saul Tigh, formerly XO of Galactica, and highest ranking military person on New Caprica.
