Ég fór til Þýskalands nýlega og til fyrstu concentration camp sem Hitler lét stofna og þar sá ég margt hrikalegt. Keypti ég mér 2 bækur þar og er buinn að vera að skoða þær mjög mikið, í þessum bókum eru mikið af myndum og mörgum brefum frá foringjum 3 ríkisins og langaði mig bara að leyfa ykkur að lesa nokkur.

Þau eru að vísu á ensku ég nennti ekki að vippa þeim yfir á ísl, enda ekki eins skemmtileg lesning ef þau væru á ísl.
Þessi bréf fundust í Dachau búðunum eftir að Bandaríkjamenn náðu búðunum á sitt vald.

A principle which must be strictly adhered to by every ss man is: to be hones, decent, loyal and helpful to everyone of our own blood but to no one else. The fate of a Russian or Czech is of no interest to me whatsover. We shall take from these people all the good blood of our kind which is to be found, where necessary we shall steal their children and bring them up ourshelves. Whether these people live in prosperity or perish from hunger, interest me only in so far as we need them as slaves for our culture. I have otherwise no interes in them. Whether or not 10000 Russian women collapse from exhaustion while digging an anti-tank ditch only interests me in so far as the ditch must be finished for Germany.
