If you ever go wrong with a Snuffy Smile record it must be your fault. Our Japanese brother to the far east (although west would make more sense from my side of the world) has only two flaws. Flaw the first, the records are too good and too hard to get! Flaw the second, he still hasn't made me a T-shirt. For the past several many moons Snuffy Smile has teamed up the best underappreciated bands from the US and the best underappreciated bands from Japan to make split 7"s that are actually worth owning and only appreciated by deadbeats like us. You'd think this motherfucker was paying me to say all this? Well, my skeptical friend, sometimes shit really is this awesome. The CHINESE TELEPHONES are from Old Milwaukee and play scuffed up (but not too gritty) pop punk with that dash of olde REPLACEMENTS that I do so appreciate these days, with that hint of ‘90s pop punk that I’ve been missing. ANTI-JUSTICE has a lot of the same elements but with some rock and roll get up and go. If you can find this, get it. If you're sorry…there's something wrong with you. Stevo (maximumrocknroll)
