Success! Unchecking “Enable Audio enhancements” within the device properties has solved it completely. Seems it a bit pointless having an X Fi it all is does is output the sound and I can't control it at all, but still, atleast I can use the computer now. Thankyou all for your help. One last bit, can someone explain why Xtreme Music is no longer listed on the Creative Website for driver downloads. Which one should I use, nearest I guess is the X Fi Platinum. læra á google :)
