We're getting quite a bit of criticism at the moment, both on these message-boards and via personal emails about our reluctance to reveal details about CM4 release dates, screen shots and the like. We are also getting complaints from people for our use of the term “legal reasons” as the reason that we can't talk about stuff, with it being claimed that it's a smokescreen and that we're just being difficult.

We are very honest people at Sports Interactive who hold our customers in the highest regard, and would like nothing more than to be able to reveal all of the details of CM4 to you all as soon as possible. However, the absolute truth is that, for legal reasons, we cannot currently reveal anything at all without compromising ourselves as a company. As soon as we can do, we will do, and you'll have definite dates for screenshots the minute we are allowed to reveal when the magazine is going to come out. But, for the time being, rather than getting annoyed with something that NONE of us have any control over, please be calm, patient, and let us carry on with working our socks off to make Championship Manager 4 the greatest football management simulation of all time.

There is no point speculating on anything about the game at the moment either, as all that will happen is that somebody will believe it to be true. All I can reveal is NO release date has yet been set for the game. Believe us, if we could say what the legal reasons were, we would, but we can't for (guess what) legal reasons!

It is frustrating for all of us, but we humbly ask you to appreciate that our hands are completely tied at this time.
