I am Rauli I live in australia and on my own by fluke i guess i came
around an issue which prevents the HSF PCI linux modem driver from
working properly. Im a tweak maniac i admit but i found that if i set
the PCI Latency in the bios (Machine is Asus Tusl2-c , P III 800,
512megs RAM, 40 GIG Seagate, 3GIG maxtor) to 32 my swann smart internal
conexant modem will stall after about 20 minutes of being connected i
dont seem to have the same problem in windows but i just set the latency
to 96 and i have no problem in linux. Hope this helps someone. if you
are having problems with your modem or any other PCI device i recommend
setting PCI Latency to 96.
