LATimes has officially put out its projected reports for Microsoft's upcoming X-Box game console. They have stated that Microsoft will not meet the launch demand exceeding 800k and fall short at 300k, leaving alot of empty buyers to wait until 2002. Further more LATimes reports retail chains in certain cities have already begun plugging Nintendo to receive GCN shipments. A shipment of 630,000 GCN's are going into retail chains worldwide. LATimes comments that this will make up for the “empty space” in stores and ensure everyone gets a product this holliday season.

The only reason the PS2 survived their shortage was due to being the ONLY next gen system available, AND already successfully launching in Japan. The GC and PS2 will be available for $200 and $250, respectively, with many games.
