Þetta var IGN og staðfesti okkar björtustu vonir, að VF Quest (exclusive GameCube RPG frá Sega-AM2) er ennþá í vinnslu. hann átti upphaflega a koma út á þessu ári en ekkert hefur heyrst um hann í nærri því ár.
Sega-AM2 Mentions Virtua Fighter Quest
It's still in development, along with more games from the acclaimed studio.
November 04, 2003 - Via an interview at its official site, Sega's Sega-AM2 division has revealed that it will be announcing a new title shortly. The interview was conducted for the site's “Weekly AM2” section with new company president Hiroshi Kataoka.
In the interview, Kataoka reveals that the teams that were working on Macross (PS2) and Outrun (Chihiro arcade board) are all done with their work and should be starting on new projects soon. In addition, Kataoka makes the following comment: “We'll soon be announcing a new title. In addition to this, we're doing lots of other stuff, from new games to sequels.”
Unfortunately, Kataoka wouldn't provide any details on what we can expect from the upcoming new title. He did, however, make reference to a game that GameCube owners should be excited about. Kataoka comments, when asked if Sega-AM2 will be abandoning the consumer market in favor of arcades, “That's not true. There's Virtua Fighter Quest, for instance. With regards to the consumer market, we're currently putting all our strength into Quest. Please look forward to it.
The news of a new Sega-AM2 game is, of course, always good to hear, as is confirmation that Virtua Fighter Quest, which was originally scheduled to be released this year, is still in development.
