ÉG var á IGN boards áðan og sá þennan skemmtilega þráð. Nú er þetta í þriðja skipti sem ég skrifa þetta, alltaf eitthvað helvítis vesen. Fyrir þá sem eru með Insider þá geta þeir séð allan þráðin <a href="http://boards.ign.com/message.asp?topic=33264051&replies=301“>hérna</a>. Ég ætla bara að byrja á að paste-a fyrsta póstinum í þræðinum:

As we have seen, Xbox is handing GC its ass on a platter in North America, with almost 1 million more consoles sold. Xbox is also killing GC in Australia, and is starting to gain traction in Europe.
HOWEVER, there are some big points to make; FACTS:
1)GC has a 2.2 million unit LEAD over Xbox in Japan. Much more than Xbox's lead in North America.
2)GC still remained 2nd in Europe for 2002; Xbox sold 1.4 million, and GC 1.5 million despite rumblings on these boards that stressed Xbox was leading GC.
3)GC software sales in Japan were WAAAAY more than XB in Japan. Xbox sold a total of around 400,000 pieces of software in Japan, and Gamecube sold around 4.5 MILLION.
92% more software sold on GC than on Xbox, and Xbox had more games released than the GC did. A stunning victory for GC.
4)It is believed software sales for Xbox exceeded GC software sales by 38% in North America(in November). Also take into consideration that Xbox had 40 more games than GC had at the time of this figure.
5)GC Worldwide, sells 54% more software than Xbox does; Based on 3&4 above.
6)Console sales:
GC
NA: 4.1 million(I haven't seen DEC figures yet!!!)
Japan: 2.7 million
Europe: 1.5 million
TOTAL: 8.3 million SOLD, 10-12 million shipped.
Xbox
NA: 5.1 million (see above)
Japan: 0.32 million or 320,000
Europe: 1.4 million
TOTAL:6.82 million SOLD, NO IDEA HOW MANY SHIPPED.
Conclusion
If Gamecube's HUGE lead over Xbox in Japan stays bigger than Xbox's lead in NA and Australia like it has been doing, Xbox CANNOT overtake GC Worldwide unless it has a substantial lead in Europe, and NA.
Xbox is 2nd in North America in a 1 million lead over GC.
GC is 2nd in Europe (as stated on in early January) in a 100,000 lead over Xbox.
Xbox is 2nd in Australia in a 100,000 lead(?????) over GC
GC is 2nd in Japan with a 2.2 million unit lead.
3rd party verdict by me
Japanese 3rd parties are going to drop Xbox support most likely because of pi$$-P00R hardware AND software sales in Japan, and put more resources into GC and PS2 with their considerably higher userbases.
GC also has FOUR(4) million selling 3rd party titles, whereas Xbox has only one(1), being DOA3.
Other non Japanese 3rd parties will most likely drop much of their GC support, due to its sluggish 3rd party software selling in North America and Europe.
Japanese 3rd parties will put mostly big, exclusive franchises on GC because they sell excellent. Resident evil and Sonic Adventure 2, despite being what some call ”rehashes“ or ”ports“, each sold over a million copies worldwide. Even new franchises like Super Monkey Ball sold over a million on GC worldwide.

Og svo til að sjá nokkur svör þá ætla ég að paste-a þau hérna:
”There is a simple way to end this debate. Since so many individuals [who happen to originate from the Xbox board] seem to think ‘shipped’ and ‘sold’ numbers are the same thing that means GameCube has sold 10 million worldwide and Xbox has sold 8 million.“
”6)Console sales:
GC
NA: 4.1 million(I haven't seen DEC figures yet!!!)
Japan: 2.7 million
Europe: 1.5 million
TOTAL: 8.3 million SOLD, 10-12 million shipped“
GC sold about 9 million buddy!”
"GC also has FOUR(4) million selling <b>3rd party titles, whereas Xbox has only one(1), being DOA3.
I stated this in my post, and so Xbox has ONE million selling 3rd party game being DOA3.
GC has FOUR million selling 3rd party games.
Which do you think BIG third parties will want to support with their Big hits?“
——-
”I stated this in my post, and so Xbox has ONE million selling 3rd party game being DOA3.
“GC has FOUR million selling 3rd party games.
I guess Splinter Cell doesn't count?”
I mean it only sold 1.6M in 5 weeks…“
——-
”Splinter Cell sold 855,000 units(doesnt count europe) in USA in 2002“
”I'll quote and bold the relevant parts for you:
LONDON (Reuters) - Japan's Nintendo said Tuesday it had sold 1.5 million GameCube units in Europe last year</b>, holding off rival Microsoft for second place in the hotly contested video game console market.
…
Ben Keen, executive director of <b>market research firm ScreenDigest, forecast Tuesday that Xbox sold 1.4 million consoles in Europe last year</b>
Do you understand the difference?
And for the record, the OFFICIAL press release from Microsoft states they sold 1.8M in Europe. The OFFICIAL press release from Nintendo says they sold 1.5M in Europe.
The 1.4M is a “forecast” by some no-name company.“
Ath. að þetta eru ekki eignileg qoute þar sem ég nefndi ekki viðmælanda. <br><br>Roggi - <a href=”http://www.roggi.homestead.com/roggi.html">Besta Zelda síðan</a
