Ég greið þess grein á erlendri spjallsíðu og ég hefði viljað fá álit íslenskra bræðra áður en ég fer að mynda skoðanir sjálfur.

Ok folks, in this day and age where people like Uwe Boll (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0093051/) are turning our favorate games, books, and so on into sensationalist pieces of filmed shit, we naturally are very pissed off at this blatent spit in our faces. But thou doest not understand WHY they keep doing it.

BECAUSE WE'RE SUPPORTING IT.

Do you really think these moviefunder scum really care about rating, reviews, or the opinions of yer gamer site or whiny ass Livejournals? Do you really think they make $$$ off that? NO. They make $$$ off PEOPLE PAYING TO SEE SAID FILM.

You proclaim how they're totally violating Alone in the Dark, Resident Evil, Super Mario Brothers, and so on, but when the film comes out you go see it “to see how they ruined it”.

Do you understand why these people make this garbage? Because as you all often say, they're just grabs for cheap bucks. But where do you think they're getting the bucks? FROM YOU. The money you pay for those movie tickets are what matters. It doesn't matter WHY you bought them, only that you paid money for it. So instead of boycotting the ripoffs like you SHOULD, you're the ones that are making sure that they make more and more of them, because THEY WILL MAKE MONEY OUT OF YOU SEEING IT.

You really want to stop this? What should you do when Doom and Farcry and so on appear in theaters? Don't go. Download it off KaZaa or Limewire or BitTorrent or whatever. Buy bootleg tapes off the street. Or just don't see it. But don't go to the theater, don't rent it, don't buy it reguardless of how you buy it. Don't buy novelizations or versions of the books with movie covers. And write some nasty letters and polls and petitions while your're at it.

Then maybe these people will get a clue and start making quality original films or maybe put some effert into the conversions.

But for alls sake, don't support it.
