Q. Here's an idea for a movie to be made in the year 2060: An epic about the attacks against the Twin Towers. Only let the three-hour film focus mainly on a love triangle stemming from a pair of friends as stock traders in New York and a young receptionist. When one of them is on a plane from Boston to L.A. and another is busy with a client in the Twin Towers, the men are suddenly thrust in the middle of a terrible plot where there is chaos and tragedy, but we completely disregard the 5,000 citizens dead and instead concern ourselves with the love lives of three whining yuppies. Or, we could just look at ‘'Pearl Harbor’' and think about how horrible it is to trivialize such a tragedy on the screen.

A. A film can be made about the tragedy of Sept. 11, but I believe it must be a small film, not an epic, it must be about individual humans, not special effects, and it should not have a happy ending but a somber and poignant one.

Kanadíski leikarinn Jim Carrey gaf 1 milljón dala(100 milljónir kr) í 11. September sjóðinn sem var stofnaður vegna hryðjuverkanna sem gerðar voru á bandaríkin 11. september síðastliðin. Leikarinn er talin eiga um 153 milljónir dala(15,3 milljarða kr) svo hann ætti að hafa efni á kvöldmat þrátt fyrir gjafmildina.



New York úr kvikmyndum!

Mörgum kvikmyndum hefur verið breytt eftir hryðjuverkaárásirnar á New York. Má þar nefna Spiderman þar sem eitt aðalatriðið átti að gerast á milli turnanna tveggja. Það varð líka að taka eitt atriði úr kvikmyndinni The Time Machine en í atriðinu átti að sjást fjölda loftsteina rigna yfir New York. Frestað hefur líka verið nokkrum kvikmyndum sem fjalla um hryðjuverk.



Framleiðandi Frasiers dó í hryðjuverkaárusunum

David Angell framleiðandi Frasier og Cheers var meðal farþegunum í einni flugvélinni sem brotlenti á Twin Towers bygginguna. Óvíst er hvenær tökum á nýjustu Frasier seríunni verður haldið áfram.
