Var að lesa eina (slúður?)frétt áðan á TEAMtalk sem bendir til þess að Andrei Shevchenko sé á leið til Tottenham. En sorry, ég nenni ekki að þýða en kem samt með peist af réttri síðu…
Spurs linked with £25m Shev swoop ^top
Spurs are set to make a £25m move for AC Milan's Andrei Shevchenko, after his advisor hinted the player would link up with Sergei Rebrov again.
Shevchenko is thought to be unhappy at the San Siro after Milan's failings in this season's Champions League and the fact that the club have failed to make it into Europe's premier club competition next season. And ambitious Spurs boss Glenn Hoddle is ready to bring the player to White Hart Lane.
The 24-year-old Ukraine international is thought to be keen at the possibility of playing in the Premiership and in particular linking up again with his old Dynamo Kiev strike partner Sergei Rebrov.
Shevchenko's advisor Sandor Varga, who is also Rebrov's agent, has admitted that the brilliant striker's first choice, should he leave Italy, is a move to England.
Varga said: “The fact that Tottenham are not in the Champions League would not be a reason for Andrei not to join them. Milan are not in the Champions League either, and England is his first choice.
”Andrei's situation at Milan is not the best and definitely wishes to play with Sergei.“
Reports in Saturday's press suggest Spurs are ready to offer Milan around £25million for the player's services although The Rossoneri may ask for Steffen Iversen to be involved in any deal as they have been admirers of the Norwegian striker since he destroyed them playing for Rosenborg five years ago.
However, Milan are close to completing the £22million capture of Fillipo Inzaghi from Juventus, meaning a move for Iversen may be wide of the mark, but the Italian side have admitted they are short of funds to complete the move - which may free Shevchenko to leave the San Siro. Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said: ”We have to find the money to pay for Inzaghi."
Signing Shevchenko would represent a massive coup for Spurs owners ENIC who are keen to make Spurs a major force in European football, but the north London side can expect competition from all over the continent with Barcelona and Real Madrid especially keen on the freescoring striker.

Ég held að mestu leiti að þetta sé slúður því að ef hann ætti að vera óhress með veru hjá AC Milan vegna engrar þáttöku í Meistaradeildinni þá efa ég að Tottenham væri rétta liðið til að laga það. En mér þætti hinsvegar mjög gaman að sjá hann leika á enskri knattspyrnugrundu þó ekki hjá neinu betra liði en Tottenham, en það er allavegana hvatning fyrir hann að fara þangað að fyrrum félagi hans hjá Dinamo Kiev hann Sergei Rebrov er hjá spursurum, en jæja.
Hvað haldið þið hvað varðar þetta mál?
