This amp promotes strong positive feelings in most users - often being favourably

compared to both current and vintage Fenders, small Laney combos, Marshall DSL and Bluesbreaker combos and the

smaller Mesa Boogies. - what more could you ask? Most users comments that the PC30 represents excellent value

for money - this seem to be especially true in the USA - secondhand models also represent good value for money

- but make sure you don't get one that has been thrashed. Perhaps the most telling thing about this fine amp is

that it goes to 12 (not just one louder, but two!) - it is amazing just how much further forward Peavey

technology is compared to Marshall's.

General Comments:

This amp is amazing. The clean tone on this amp is perfect, could not ask for a better clean tone. Its fairly

easy to haul around, and its loud enough to gig with. This is a pretty sturdy little amp.

What do you especially like about this product?

My favorite thing about this amp is the clean tone. Its easy to dial in a good tone, and when added with the

spring reverb, its great. It has a classic, warm tube clean sound.The distortion is good too. The distortion

covers a lot of ground, ranging from light distortion for blues to enough distortion for rock and even hardcore

on a push. I also like the spring reverb, which is a good part of an all ready solid amp.

What do you dislike about this product?

Sometimes the tone can become harsh at higher volumes, especially with the distortion. There are a lot of mids,

but a little fiddling with the EQ can control them.
