Biography
Born in Hong Kong, self-taught guitarist Herman Li is the man behind those over the top hyper guitar fretwork, and part of the recording team and production core on all DragonForce records.

After having played in a number of underground metal/rock bands in London, Herman decided the only way for him to move forward, is to form a band instead of joining one. Herman has finally found the right musicians together to take the music he loves to another level. As well as touring intensively with DragonForce, Herman has also given guitar clinics showcasing his own approach to the instrument.

Herman and guitar partner in crime Sam have been playing together for years, and this dual's combination is proving to be more and more significant in today's modern metal scene.

Herman recently won the ‘Best Shredder’ (best young guitarist award) at the annual Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.

- Instrumental/melodic/hard rock, AOR etc.
- Video games music; favourites are from late 80's, early 90's arcade and PC Engine games.
- Pretty much everything he listens to is an influence!
