Já 1.5 á að vera ekkert nema fixes þannig að það ætti ekki að trufla neina spilamensku.

Various Fixes
CS 1.5 and HL 1.1.1.0 will include “various fixes and tweaks.” The retail HL and CS patches include a new mod called Ricochet (which was included in CS retail but wasn't a huge success) and its source; it has new features which will be added to the HL SDK.
Most importantly, however, is “phase two” of Valve's anti-cheat, which has been successful in disabling many Counter-Strike 1.4 cheats.
Maps
Valve has revealed that de_piranesi, created by Iikka Keranen, will be included in CS 1.5. Other maps may possibly be included.
Narby's de_comrade is being considered for inclusion, but there is no final word from Valve on this map.
Release
The release is nearing. Look out for these updates during early-to-mid June. As you well know, however, Valve has a tough time hitting release dates due to quality standards and other such nonsense.
CS 1.6/1.0.0.6
Looking deeper into the future. Counter-Strike 1.6 will feature various updates to the main components of CS. It is estimated for a late Summer/early Fall release date. A demo viewing menu will be included.
CS: Condition Zero
This version is likely to introduce Counter-Strike: Condition Zero's weapons to multiplayer. It is unclear if all weapons or only some will be ported to multiplayer. Many players, for instance, would disagree with the LAW rocket launcher being added to CS multiplayer. Valve has stated that only two weapons/items at a time will be ported.
Please note that CS: Condition Zero only ships with CS multiplayer. Thus, CS: CZ owners won't get anything in multiplayer that mod or retail owners don't get, save for some maps.
Steam
Steam is some sort of content delivery/download system. It includes automatic updating. If CS is updated, the server will download a new version from Valve and reboot. Clients will simply download the new .dll files and any new art needed while starting up. Maps/textures are downloaded as needed. If you only play on dust servers, for example, you won't download aztec.
For current players, Steam will simply act like an authorization and download center. You will not need to download anything if there has been no updates, thus making Steam compatible with 56k modems.
