Well, after a whole lot of testing, I've finally pinpointed the problem in the recent update that has been causing so many problems for everyone and how to fix it. Here's the gist of it. The problem is around language files not being completely updated. The most common fix being posted is to load up in Korean(Adult) and to update that. This seems to work for some people, but doesn't seem to work for others. Well, here we go.
first off : DO NOT DELETE CLIENTREGISTRY.BLOB it will reset everything in regards to this fix
1. open the games menu and expand it to full view by clicking “view” -> “switch to full view”
2. right click steam icon and select “settings” (4th down on the list of 6 options)
3. select the next language down and click ok (button of the bottom left)
4. click “restart now” (button of the left)
5. right click a game that you have installed and go to “properties” (bottom button)
5. go to the “local files” tab (3rd tab to the right)
6. click the “verify integrity of game cache” button (3rd button down on the bottom)
7. let it update (you will see KB/s transfer rates next to all of your games in the games menu if you did it properly)
8. repeat steps 5-7 on any games that are not updating properly
9. when everything is fully updated repeat steps 2-8 for each language down the list until you are fully updated on every one of them
10. proceed to play CS and own noobies

eftir ad eg geri þetta tutorial þa for pingið mitt upp i 150-200. Ég er med 2mb tengingu hja ogvodafone og eg er med intel Pentium 4 3.4Ghz
Ati X600 Pro 256mb
og 1Gb i vinnsluminni. getur einhver hjalpad mer. hvernig lækka eg þetta ping?
