Svo margir kannast við nöfnin en hafa í raun enga hugmynd hverjar þessar leikkonur eru í raun og veru.

Þær Mary-Kate Olsen og Ashley Fuller Olsen fæddust föstudaginn 13.júlí árið 1986 í bænum Sherman Oaks í Kaliforníu.
Fuller er í raun ekki millinafn Ashley heldur er það eftirnafn móður hennar en mamma þeirra og pabbi skildu árið 1995.
Mary-Kate og Ashley eiga eldri bróður sem heitir Trent og yngri systur sem heitir Lizzie en þau eru 17 ára og 13 ára.
Það kemur mörgum eflaust á óvart þegar þeim er sagt að þær Ashley og Mary-Kate eru EKKI eineggja tvíburar. Nei, þó þær séu nærri því alveg eins í útliti eru svo mörg smáatriði sem að eru ekki eins.

Þessir tvíburar hófu leikferil sinn aðeins 9 mánaða gamlar þegar þær deildu hlutverki Michelle Tanner í sjónvarpsþættinum Full house og ólust nokkurn veginn upp í þeim þætti. Það er að segja, þær uxu upp úr grasi og héldu áfram að leika í þáttunum samhliða því. Þegar þær urðu eldri bættust svo við fleiri þættir og myndir og nú er listinn orðinn talsvert langur.

Ég get nú sagt það að þessar leikkonur eru ekki í neinu sérstöku uppáhaldi hjá mér, en ég hef séð nokkrar myndir með þeim og þótt þær allar hundleiðinlegar.
Ein mynd sem ég hef séð með þeim hefur þó titilinn besta mynd sem ég hef séð með þeim og er það myndin Winning London, þar sem þær leika tvíbura sem halda til London og gera allt brjálað þar.
Þessar stúlkur fara nú að nálgast 18 ára aldurinn og verður gaman að sjá hvor þeirra verður frægari í framtíðinni, Mary-Kate eða Ashley. Eitt er þó víst að Olsen-tvíburarnir eru nú þegar orðnar einir ríkustu leikararnir í Hollywood og ekki einu sinni orðnar sjálfráða.
