Hérna er quote úr pósti frá Torfa Frans, developer:
“Both Mac and Linux would require us to port the 3d engine from DirectX to OpenGL. It's possible, but it would take up manpower that we already have committed on other tasks. EVE is written in Stackless Python and C++. Stackless Python is an open source language and is available for Linux and OS X. The C++ code has the hardware mostly abstracted apart from the graphics and some basic I/O. The bulk of the work would be to re-write the binaries ( the dll files ). We have discussed this amongst ourselves and it's very much possible but would require developer time, most probably from the people who wrote the original binaries and 3d engine and they are heavily involved with progressing the game ( Castor / Shiva / Kali… ).
So to sum things up: It has been considered but at this point in time we feel it more important to complete proposed features and fix current bugs.
And no we don't hate Macs, we find them rather cool actually with the advent of OS X after a nearly a decade of neglicence and slow decay.”<br><br>Got an issue??
