Creature Isle Storyline.
Far from Eden, there lies a group strange and mysterious islands. Found by the wandering Missionaries (yes those guys and their annoying song), who have been travelling the seas, looking for land. You draw close to the largest one…
Thus you come across the Land known as Creature Isle.
Creature Isle, a large land full of mystery, myth, and many surprises. Many hidden corners await discovery, and everywhere you gaze you know that there will be trials that you will have to face. One thing is missing from this mysterious land, you search and can not find them. Yes there are no others gods, you are alone here.
You arrive at the isle, and are welcomed by the ‘Brotherhood’. This is a group of creatures, that have banded together. The creatures alignments differ from creature to creature, ranging through the spectrum. But even being of different alignments, they all stick together and watch out for each other.
This Brotherhood, includes all the many creatures that you have meet before in your travels of Eden, and some new ones (which include the ‘elusive’ Rhino, and a Chicken). All up there are more than 25 creatures (to fight or befriend) in the Brotherhood.
Be warned though, the fighting styles and special powers of these creature may not what you are used too…
“Why do I want my creature to be in this Brotherhood?” I hear you ask. Well for one, once he makes it into the ‘fabled, coveted Brotherhood’ he will be different, have more power. Yes, say it again, More Power. What God doesn’t want his creature to become more powerful? He’ll be elite, and all will know it from the coveted wrist bracelet (called the ‘Band of the Brotherhood’), which will be visible to all!
So you want you creature to join this wondrous Brotherhood and gain the Band of the Brotherhood? First you and your creature and you must complete the trials…
“Trials, what trials?” Ah, so glad you asked. These range from games through to fiendish puzzles all the way to your creature playing various sports. Why are these trials so different from the ones that were in Eden? Well, these Trials have been set by the creatures of the Brotherhood. They are not so much tests of ‘alignment’ but, rather, focus on the skill and abilities of each God and their unique creature.
Some of these trials require the you to use your mind (outwitting the blind hermit or hunting for the invisible wolf), and some others will require your reaction and accuracy to be ‘up to top notch’ (fancy the cow’s bowing trial, or Pashar’s Cannon Trial?
As in Eden the isle is populated with villagers, that are yours to do with what you want. Throw them, burn them, fry them, heal them, love them, feed them starve them, they are yours to do whatever you wish to them…
But be warned, while they pray to you and there are no other gods for you to fight, they still provide you with worship power. If you neglect them, they will forget you exist, and you will find yourself powerless.
So maybe keeping them happy and thriving might be a good idea. But luckily your creature can once again help you with this, and so can the apprentice.
Now, we come to the apprentice or the ‘pet’ as it is or will be commonly known.
Your creature will gain a friend, a pet, an apprentice. This pet’s behaviour is influenced by your creatures actions and by your creature behaviour.. Although the pet’s loyalty is towards your creature and looks to your creature for direction, you must ‘encourage’ your creature to do certain things while the pet is watching, if you wish the pet to do it as well.
Basically it’s like you teaching your creature to do ‘stuff’, he watches you. Thus when your creature does ‘stuff’ the pet (apprentice) watches your creature, and learns by example. Therefore as the pet becomes more accomplished, he will of course become more helpful to you, in your struggle for your creature to become one of the Brotherhood. The pet will (as he matures), begin to have a mind and a character of it’s own (this is based on what he sees and does during his ‘formative’ years).
“Why, develop the pet/apprentice?” you ask. Well it may help you in the trials, and maybe even have a vital role in some of them. But the main reason is so the female creature, can tell that your creature would make a good father…
“FEMALE CREATURE?” Yes here on Creature Isle, there’s one of those rare female creatures. Living on the isle just waiting for a hunky male creature to come along and turn her head. Your creature can accomplish this, if he’s impressive enough and he shows how well he can handle parenthood, (by raising the pet, and teaching the pet properly) and having a nice butt (the last bit may or may not be true).
So if your creature turns the head of the female creature, and takes her out for drinks and a movie, there’s a chance of them to become a pair (go steady, boyfriend and girlfriend, husband and wife, mates, a couple, be partners (political correct term), etc, so on…). Once this happens nature will take its course (you know the birds and the bees, watch discovery channel, ask your parents, do the wild thing, make whoopee, etc).
As in Black and white, what you and your creature do will affect your alignment, and this goes for the apprentice/pet as well.
So it is clear as black and white, but this is far from the lands of Black and White, this is a land ripe with test and trial, this is Creature Isle!
